“In May of 2017 I came to YPBPT per a referral from my doctor for help for my shoulder and low back. I happened to mention to Tim Komazec, my PT, that I had been miserable for about 5 months with a constant sense of urgency as well as urethral discomfort. I was so discouraged and becoming depressed. I had been to another PT practice where I received excellent help strengthening my pelvic floor (prolapsing bladder) but I did not get relief from the urgency issue. Tim told me he had some exercises that worked 100% of the time. He gave me 9 simple exercises, all done lying on the floor and taking about 12 minutes. Nothing changed the first 3 days, but on the 4th day, I woke up and immediately realized that I felt hardly any discomfort, and in the following day or two, I was totally 100% symptom free! That was several months ago, and I am so thankful every day that I met Tim. The help he gave me impacted my life significantly, and I have shared this information with my urologist and GYN and a couple of other doctors. I keep Tim’s business cards in my purse, and I am definitely a cheerleader for him and YPBPT!”

“When I visited a long-time friend for a few days, she noticed I had put the wrapper of a bladder-protection pantie-liner in her trash. She discreetly brought up the subject of having an operation to tighten the pelvic floor muscles. She had the operation, she told me. The discomfort from the surgery would not last long, she said, and she was grateful to have had it.
Since the pads I was using had gone from light to more than moderate, I had been giving the idea of the operation some thought, and trying to imagine just when I might be able to be incapacitated for a month. During spine therapy earlier this year with Tim Komazec, he asked if I had been bothered by bladder incontinence, and I said yes. Once I began the full program, the effects were immediate. Now the only ‘protection’ I need in my underwear is a tiny sneeze guard.
If any woman is thinking of having the operation, I think it would be wise to first see how effective this non-surgical approach can be.”

“I’ve had foot pain for years. Now I go every now and then for maintenance but my foot feels amazing and I can finally do all of the activities I’ve put off because of the pain.”

“The therapists there worked around my schedule to get my knee in great shape before the marathon and showed me some taping techniques to use during the run. Thanks to their help I was able to finish the marathon and had the experience of a lifetime!”

“Once my session was completed, I felt firsthand why Dr. Pickrell recommended Hopkins so highly — she’s AWESOME. It was 45 minutes of one on one time devoted to work on the pinched nerve. I didn’t get that with my other therapies. FINALLY, a 90 mile round trip that was worthwhile!”
