FAQ

COST/PRICES

Q: “What should I do if I cannot afford the cost of my care?”

A: We do not let finances get in the way of you getting your life back. If you have financial concerns before, during or after your treatment at our facility, we can assist you. We have special programs and payment plans for those with high deductible/co-pays or no-insurance situations so you do not have to worry.

Q: “Can I pay my co-pays as I come to each session?”

A: We prefer to take care of the financial payments before appointments, paying as you come, so we can purely focus on getting you well. As well, we do offer a NO-FEE payment plan that you may find extremely helpful to ensure you get well but don’t worry so much about the bills.

Q: “How do I apply my payments toward my deductible (insurance)?”

A: On your evaluation date, our front desk staff will review your insurance benefits with you, so this question will be answered. However, it is always best for you to understand how your insuance benefits work for your own peace of mind.

Q: “What if my insurance doesn’t pay you, what do I do?”

A: By the first session, we have called your insurance company to find out the details of your insurance plan. As we know, all plans are different, so we want to make sure you fully understand what they are for physical therapy.
We give your insurance company several opportunities to respond to “failure to pay” situations, and we do everything we can on your behalf. We’ve been known to send complaints to the insurance commissioner before. But, if they refuse to pay, the bill will be your responsibility as is required by law. But don’t worry, you will be given advance notice from us prior to this issue occurring. Oftentimes when you contact your insurance the issue gets resolved.

APPOINTMENTS/SCHEDULE

Q: “What if I can’t make an appointment?”

A: We understand that things can come up. All we ask is that you give us a 24-hour advance notice if possible. This gives us enough time to give that appointment slot to someone else who needs it. We incur a cost every time an appointment slot goes unfulfilled, as we do not penalize our therapists for not treating someone. This policy helps us to keep our one-on-one care and services affordable.

*Repeated offenses may lead to fees and cancellation of future appointments.

Q: “What if I need to change an appointment? Who do I call?”

A: Just call us and we will take care of you. Please avoid LAST-MINUTE changes since this doesn’t give us enough time to give the appointment slot to someone else who needs it.

*Repeated offenses may lead to fees and cancellation of future appointments.

Q: “Can I bring my children to an appointment?”

A: We certainly do not want to you to lose valuable time in your healing process. Bringing children to your appointment is your call. They can comfortably sit in the lobby or in the room with you during a treatment. This is YOUR time, so if you feel you may be distracted the whole session, you may want to think about alternate plans.

Q: “What time do you open and close?”

A: Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM to 7 PM, and Fridays 7:30 AM to 12:45 PM.

TREATMENTS/CARE

Q: “Will therapy make me more sore?”

A: There are two types of soreness. A “good sore” is when muscles that haven’t been used properly start working in a more normal fashion. This is great and necessary for improvement. A “bad sore” is when your primary, or another pain increases. We will always educate you on listening to your body, in that we do not want to cause more pain. Pain is your body’s way of saying, “please take a detour in the treatment to get to the final outcome”. If your “bad” pain increases, you can always contact the office or your physical therapist directly via email.

Q: “What if I don’t do my home exercises? How will that affect my progress?”

A: If you don’t do your program at home or perform them irregularly, you will not get better as quickly (if at all). It’s important to take our instruction seriously if you want long-lasting great results.

Q: “Can I use ice/heat to the painful area at home?”

A: If you experience an increase in pain or soreness, it may be okay to use heat or ice, but make sure to speak with your therapist about how to use it safely and effectively.

Q: “What do I do when my pain gets really bad?”

A: If it’s an emergency situation, call 911. If it’s bearable but you are concerned, call us immediately. If it’s bearable and it occurs often, you may ice or heat it. Ask your therapist to learn what is best for you.

Q: “What if I’m not happy with the care? With whom do I talk?”

A: Should there be any problem, we ask that you talk to us. In most cases we find that a little communication and education goes a long way. Just call us to speak with us, email your therapist or speak with them on your next visit. It’s YOUR body and YOUR therapy. We want you understanding WHAT you’re doing and WHY you’re doing it.

OTHER

Q: “How do I get a copy of my medical records?”

A: Just call us or email us. There may be a small fee based on the type and volume of records you request. Please allow for up to 7 days for requests to be fulfilled.
