Physical Therapy Clinic in Austin Uses a Surprisingly Different Approach to Pain Relief

February 4, 2019 By Amy Beth Hopkins Leave a Comment

Did you know that 1 in 4 Americans suffer with chronic pain. It affects more people than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined.

It’s a common problem.

The most common conditions treated are low back pain (27%), headache/migraine (15%), and neck pain (15%).

Americans spend billions of dollars every year but yet the problem is getting worse, not better. Learn more about chronic pain statistics here.

Why is that?

The quick answer…

People are wasting money and time on “temporary” treatments that don’t fix the source of the problem. Things like:

  • Medication/Pills
  • Heat/Ice
  • EMS/TENS
  • Massage
  • Ointments
  • Adjustments

Sure, some of these things might make you feel better (for a time) but they only mask symptoms and do NOT get to the root cause.

Many choose these options because they think they are inexpensive but the fact is, they cost you more than the real solution.

So what is the real solution?

Typically for most people the real solution is found in the following steps:

  1. Control (and eliminate) the inflammation by identifying the imbalances in the muscles and joints that cause inflammation with everyday simple movements.
  2. Correct the imbalances with specialized movement/exercise that strengthens the weak muscles and lengthens the tight muscles.
  3. Perform movements 3 days per week (for as little as 8min per day) until the imbalances are gone and body is normalized.

It’s best to seek the advice from someone who specializes in all-natural solutions such as a physical therapist. They can help you determine your unique imbalances and get you on the road to an effective long-term solution.

It can take as little as 1-3 sessions depending on the complexity of your condition, and it can be as low as $37 to $87 per session. And the results often come quickly depending on the severity of your condition. Many feel significant improvement the very first session.

The overall cost for a real solution is small compared to repeatedly paying for temporary treatments. Since many suffer with chronic pain for over 3 years, the cost can add up.

Our physical therapists in Austin Texas are licensed and trained in treating chronic pain quickly and offer real solutions that last well into the future.
